ACO Film Project The American College of Orgonomy has contracted with Dick Young, one of the world's most respected documentary filmmakers, to produce two films for the College. These films will focus on both medical orgone therapy and on the scientific aspects of orgonomy. They will highlight the vitally important contributions made by Dr. Reich, the brilliant and far-seeing scientist who discovered orgone energy, and by the other doctors and scientists who have helped develop the science of orgonomy. The controversy that surrounded Reich's life and work frequently overshadowed the importance of his discoveries - discoveries that have the potential to change people at the very core of their being and to benefit all mankind. The American College of Orgonomy believes that now is the time to bring knowledge of the expanding science of orgonomy to a much wider segment of society. Today the science of orgone energy is in a better position to be evaluated rationally both by members of the scientific community, and by lay people interested in understanding the underlying reasons for the obvious irrationality in today's world. The films will contain a comprehensive picture of orgonomic work in the fields of psychology, medicine, sociology, biology, and physics. Mr. Young has traveled to many parts of the world to interview physicians and scientists as well as individuals who have had the experience of therapy. The American College of Orgonomy believes so strongly in the need for these films that it has committed significant resources to the project. The films are designed to educate both the scientific community and the general public through exhibition at colleges and universities, and at meetings and conferences.
Medical Orgone Therapy
This film will show individuals in therapy sessions that demonstrating the body-oriented aspects of this non-drug treatment. Patients tell how their therapy has relieved emotionally related symptoms and increased their capacity for satisfaction in life, love, and work, and they compare this method of treatment with previous therapies. The treatment of children is shown with emphasis on what can be done by way of early intervention to prevent chronic armoring. The necessity of a non-traumatic birth with continuous contact between mother and child will be stressed. The film will acquaint the viewer with the basic theory and principles of medical orgone therapy and the effects it can have on them and in their lives.
The Science of Orgonomy
This film will present compelling evidence that many of the phenomena studied in the scientific disciplines such as medicine, biology, and physics are manifestations of a primary energy: orgone energy. The film shows that the effects of orgone energy are real can be understood and demonstrated scientifically, and should be the object of further investigation. The film will demonstrate that pulsation is the basis of life, and that disturbance of this natural movement underlies both physical and emotional illness. A sequence of the film will show A.C.O. physicians, scientists, and other experts performing laboratory experiments and field work. Some of orgonomy's most important discoveries will be presented with discussions as to how they may be applied for the benefit of future generations. Interviews with physicians and scientists who are working in the various fields of orgonomy in locations that span the globe will be included.
