September 2018 Update

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we have reached our goal of $21,000! Ten Zeiss Primo Star microscopes were purchased in time for our summer Half Day Laboratory Course on the Reich Blood Test, and we will soon be purchasing a high resolution camera and 40" monitor for our demo microscope. Our thanks to everyone who contributed!

The fundraiser is still active for those who would still like to make a donation. Plans for Phase II will be announced soon.

Dear Friend of Orgonomy:

I am excited to tell you about our new ACO Laboratory Fundraiser to make improvements in the Elsworth F. Baker Oranur Research Laboratory which was dedicated at the ACO campus on October 11, 1986. As you may know, the ACO offers unique laboratory courses so that individuals with or without scientific training can observe orgonomic phenomena discovered by Wilhelm Reich. In 2017 we offered our very first half-day laboratory course, and a new course with a focus on the Reich Blood Test is scheduled for June 2, 2018. It is only with your help that we will be able to continue to offer these opportunities. Phase I of our fundraiser will be for the purchase of much needed new laboratory equipment, which will enable us to cost-effectively hold more frequent courses focused on specific topics in orgonomic science, as well as improve and enhance the learning experience of our students. The second phase (which will be announced at a later date) will address the functionality of our lab building, which has had no refurbishing since 1986.

Phase I will cover the following equipment purchases:

- Ten (10) Zeiss Primo Star digital classroom microscopes. Currently microscopes must be rented for our lab courses at a total cost of $1,100 each time. This means that since opening the lab, we have spent well over $15,000 on such rentals. Having our own identical high-quality student microscopes at all stations will greatly reduce our overhead and also enable our instructors to teach more efficiently as well as enhance the learning experience of our students. The Zeiss Primo Star is designed with long-term use and extreme durability in mind and will be used by our students for many years to come: $1,500 each x 10 = $15,000

- High resolution camera for our demo microscope: $5,000

- 40” monitor for our demo microscope: $1,000

A high-resolution camera paired with a 40” wall-mounted monitor will enable all students to clearly and conveniently see images from our Zeiss demo microscope. Currently we have to crowd around a small computer monitor, which doesn’t do justice to the images.

Total needed: $21,000

Our lab courses are vital to the future of the College and the science of orgonomy, and we would appreciate your financial support. Any donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. It is only with your generous help that we can continue to make strides in improving our campus and sharing what we have to offer to the world.

The ACO is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and all donations are tax deductible. You may send your donation to us at the address below, call our office staff at (732) 821-1144, or donate securely by clicking the DONATE button above.

Sincerely,

Peter A. Crist, M.D.
